A Prayer Journal

As fate would have it, I was browsing through the biography section at the library this week, looking for an interesting life to read about, when I discovered one Flannery O'Connor, an American mid-century fiction writer. I had never heard of her before, but apparently she has left a rather large mark in American fiction literature.

The book of O'Connor that I found was not a biography per se, but a collection of journal entries documenting meditated prayers which she wrote between 1946-1947. Skimming through it, I was captured by the beauty of her illustrative prose. Naturally, I think it would be an interesting project to take on, to create an image on an excerpt of the Prayer Journal which inspires me each week.

Here's week one.
